OptiSheet

Terms & Licence

Last updated 8 November 2026

The short version

  • OptiSheet is free to use. Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription.
  • Not happy with Pro? Full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.
  • Everything you make with OptiSheet is yours, including for commercial games.
  • If OptiSheet is ever discontinued, the final version will be released free for everyone.

Who makes OptiSheet

OptiSheet is a one-person side project, built and run by an independent developer in the UK. It isn't a company, and there's no support team or guaranteed response time — but every email gets read, and refunds are always honoured. Contact: support@optisheet.app.

The free version

You can use OptiSheet free, without an account, for any project — personal or commercial. The free version may change over time, but the features listed as free on the pricing page are not planned to move behind the paywall.

OptiSheet Pro

Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features described on the pricing page. It includes every update to OptiSheet for as long as it is maintained. Because OptiSheet runs in your browser, you always get the current version — there's nothing to download or reinstall.

Your licence key is for you, and can be active on up to 3 devices at once — for example your desktop, laptop and work machine. You can add or remove devices any time from your Polar account. (Each browser you use counts as one.) Please don't share your key; a team that wants Pro needs one licence per person.

Payment

Purchases are sold and processed by Polar, who act as the reseller (merchant of record). They handle payment, tax and receipts, and their own buyer terms apply to the transaction. The price you pay, including any VAT or sales tax, is shown at checkout.

Refunds

If Pro doesn't work for you, for any reason, email support@optisheet.app (or reply to your receipt) within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked, no need to explain. Your licence key is disabled when the refund is issued, and Pro switches off in your browsers the next time OptiSheet checks (at most once a day, while online).

If OptiSheet is discontinued

If I stop maintaining OptiSheet, I'll release the final version free for anyone to use, with the licence check removed — for example as a downloadable copy or as source code — so nobody who paid is left with something they can't use. This is a one-off release, not a promise to keep this website running indefinitely.

Your images and your work

Your images never leave your device — packing, compression and export all happen in your browser (see the privacy policy). You own everything you put into OptiSheet and everything it produces. OptiSheet claims no rights over your work.

No warranty, and your statutory rights

OptiSheet is built and tested with care, but like all software it will have bugs. Please check exported atlases before shipping them, and keep your original images. OptiSheet is provided as-is, and to the extent the law allows, my liability for any loss is limited to the amount you paid for Pro.

None of this affects your statutory rights. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep all the rights consumer law gives you for digital content.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms; the date at the top will change when I do. The refund and discontinuation promises above will always apply to purchases made under them.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
